For me being in the beauty business meeting Philip B. is meeting one of my favorite celebrity's. Philip made sure that he had greeted everyone and that everyone was comfortable. I was walking though the tunnel and there was a handsome man. Philip stopped me and gave me a hug and the kiss on both cheeks. Though out the night Philip was busy but was able to stay and talk and listen to what I thought about his line. Yes I love his line and you will find more about it as time goes by.



The party was incredible and Meeting Philip B was amazing. He was surrounded by his friends , family and those of us that support his line.



We had a private section at V20. Inside was pretty, but what made this club look amazing way the Philip B decorations. The displays of his products, as seen below. Take a look at the beautiful Flowers and see.



At the end of the night guest where treated to a gift bag that included Cucumber & Blue Orchid Hand & Body Creme Lovin' Hand & Body Creme and his famous Russian Amber Imperial Shampoo.

Salon professionals saw dollar signs this weekend at the International Salon & Spa Expo in Long Beach, CA, where Ultimate Beauty Companies awarded over $30,000 in prize money to salon professionals. Anna Hyun owner of Tiffany�s Beauty Supply from Montclair, CA was the night�s big winner of the �UBC Makes Dreams Come True� contest, taking home the grand prize of $25,000 in cash to spend on her heart�s desire.

The festivities were all part of UBC�s yearlong campaign to reward customers for their loyalty. �Our goal for UBC Makes Dreams Come True is to give back to salon professionals in a big way� said Morad Zahabian, CEO/Founder of Ultimate Beauty Companies. �Last year�s Ultimate Mercedes Giveaway was a huge hit enabling a lucky customer to take home their dream car. This year as a result of the current economic climate we felt we could do the most good by helping our customers put some extra cash in their pocket.�

True to their mantra of spoiling their customers, UBC additionally awarded $5,000 to the winner of the �Pay It Forward� contest, Kim Sullivan of D'Aversa Long Beach, CA. With �Pay It Forward�, UBC customers nominate a colleague who is deserving of the prize, and who is then encouraged to �Pay It Forward� by doing in kind to others. Sullivan was nominated by a friend who told a heartfelt story about Sullivan recently losing her brother to cancer.

At the UBC booth at ISSE, hundreds of dollars were up for grabs in the �Cash Box.� By visiting all 5 UBC booths, contestants were entered in the drawing to step inside a phone booth filled with cash blowing around them and grab as much money as they can! The five lucky winners selected at random included Tina Baghdassarian of Bellas Studio, Lyla Kirsch of Sunnyside Hair, Veronica DeNeve � Spray Soleil, Briana Naylor � Cr�me Colour Lounge and Gricelda Acevedo. Once the contestants counted their winnings, UBC gave all participants the option of keeping the cash or doubling the amount as credit at any one of the UBC booths � Exclusive Salon Distributors (Onesta), Bella Salon & Spa Distributors, Nancy�s Beauty Warehouse or Andis.

I went to Cosmetology school in the 80's, we where learning about coloring the hair, not full head color or highlights, but colors on different sections on the hair. When I was in school I had my hair long and on each side of my I had colored about a inch was purple with a hair color.




While at the show I re lived the 80's. Color is in right now. There are different ways to have the color done. One is have a stylist use a color in you hair. Or see if your stylist offers colored Extensions.



There are quite a few companies offering the extensions, and this is big right now and finding a stylist won't be hard to do. I checked out two companies, a more time consuming but an awesome look is called Bling Strands. This is a Delicate metallic fibers that are tied into a style to create a dramatic and mysterious look, a fun and flirty look or just for everyday accent.



The other was Cinderella Hair. I watched both and new I had a lot of walking to do and wanted to try so for $10.00 I picked five pieces of hair- two blue and three blonde from Cinderella Hair. Each hair extension piece is about 1/4 inch of 100% Human Hair Extension. On one side was a special glue, which they attach to my hair with a hot Iron. I sat in the chair for 10 minutes and I was done. No pain and no time.

Days later I still have my extension and I love it. People are asking me about them. If I had the time I would of love to try the Bling Strands, and will do so as I see one of my stylist.

 
Color little or lots, colors are in right now.
Now about the cut, Long- shoulder length and a clean messy look or short with striking shapes. Don't throw away the Flat Irons, as you know and can see this is a style that will always be "in".
Play with your hair and have fun. Try something different and try the colors. Or go short, easy and such a great look. This year have fun with your hair, at any age.
