I have used many exfoliators in my life time. A lot are abrasive and either make my face break out, or really irritate it. I have had a couple that have permanently ruin my skin.
As we age, our face skin is not as thick as it was when we were younger. Therefore the harsh scrubs scratch you skin and leaving on my face broken capillaries.
When I saw Jan Marini had a exfoliator, I checked out the ingredients and the main one is a unique dissolving bead! I was excited to try it out and I can say "I love this exfoliator"!

No matter what skin type you have it is important to occasionally get the outer dry skin cells off. This product is gentle yet very effective.
I have been using it 2 to 3 times a week for the last couple weeks without problem! I use it in the evening after washing my face.
I apply it and massage into my skin for 15 seconds and then rinse off with a wash cloth. It does say that " Mild stinging or tingling may occur". I have not felt any stinging but more of the tingling. Like the product is really working!
This leaves my face feels like baby skin, very refreshed and refined!

There are many products out there and many exfoliators are very rough to the skin. This one is strong enough for any skin type but will leave your skin healthy and fresh. I Highly recommend!

Professional Beauty Association Releases FAQs on Keratin Hair Smoothing Products

 The wide use of professional-use hair smoothing products containing keratin has sparked varying concerns regarding ingredients and questions around potential safety issues. In response to this industry-wide issue and to help educate and inform the industry, the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), the largest national organization of beauty industry professionals, has released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document, which is the industry's most current, comprehensive and objective report on the keratin smoothing product category. In addition to the FAQs, PBA formally requested that the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) take up a re-examination of the use of formaldehyde-releasers in cosmetics, and initiate a formal examination of methylene glycol in personal care and beauty products.


PBA is committed to providing relevant information regarding beauty products and services to its members, the industry, and general public. Having first issued information in 2007 regarding these types of products and the possible presence of formaldehyde, PBA's FAQs will address many questions that beauty professionals, the media, and consumers have regarding this issue. To start telling you about ISSE starts for me months ahead. I first apply to attend as press. Than I wait about a week to get the ok. I could attend as either a visitor or press. I like to attend the shows to bring back information to my readers and friends, which I do with this site.




Let's start in December.

Living in Vegas is a wonderful place with beautiful people and beautiful families. I love it here.

For the past 20 years I have been searching for him. No not my husband, my hair stylist.

One rule is I don't do my hair and I have tried many many salons on the outskirts of the strip. I never thought about going to the strip to have my hair colored and cut and styled.

Every where I went my hair cut always ended up looking freaky or like the stylist herself. And when I have it colored, no one has the time or patience to color my hair. They loose it because of the amount of hair I have and when I walk out of the salons my color is orange. I have been searching for the one that gives a dam about me! You can spend a full all day in the salon, I haven't. I have never felt comfortable and when I look at my hair, I want to run out the door and go put a towel over my head.

I just stopped going for the last year, I gave up. Until I saw a tweet about him. We all need him or her, the one that cares about the person in the chair.

So after 20 years I found him and them. The man that I can say do it and I know he cares about me and his work. For Him to be able to say with pride, after finishing " wow this looks great! To be proud and not embarrassed that he or she did my hair.

After I found him online, I searched, read and had heard many great things about his salons. I went Color Salon. The name says it all.

I walked into his beautiful upscale salon greeted by the nicest woman. The salon is all white, and very clean. They offer many services, take a look at the link above.

They sat me down and offered me something to drink. I was a bit nervous, not about getting my hair done, but about meeting Michael. He is an artist to many which include Paris Hilton. Paris I have to say has beautiful hair. He is also the colorist to many beautiful woman, these woman will only let Michael touch their hair.

As I sat there, I looked in the corner of my eye, heart racing, because there he was.

He greeted me with a big smile. If you know or have seen Michael, when he smiles, wow dimples. His face lights up and he has the best smile. Simply Adorable. How could someone so adorable be so talented.



He sat me in my chair and I told him my experience of the dreaded orange hair and weird cuts. He said No this will not happen. You want blonde we will do blonde.

First he did the crown of my head to tone it down. Really fast and easy. His assistant took me to the bowl to rinse, back to blow dry. She is so cute with a personality to match.

He came back and said oh this is going to look beautiful. Highlights next and a full head. Yikes what was he going to say about the amount of hair? Will he be like the rest and I'll be orange.

Then the foils and color came. Michael is a pro and the foils did go faster than I thought. Here is a picture in of us-




He took his time but because this is his experience he move fast.

About 1/2 way though he did mention about all my hair, Only cause they had to mix up another bowl of color. I think he said he used 4 with me and the norm is one or two .I'm so sorry I told him, are your arms or back hurting?

Nope, not at all he said. He said he was fine.

He was just about done with the color. Man I didn't want it to end. He was very gentle and oh so sweet. He did tell me my hair was going to look great.

He finished the color and his lovely assistant brought the dryer to me. "What, I don't have to walk though the salon to a dryer"! Nice. And the dryer fit around my head full of foil, that has never happen. About 20-30 minutes they escorted me to the bowl for a rinse and a treatment. I was anxious to see as they where saying how good it looked.

After the amazing Kerastase professional hair treatment,I sat in a chair where a very pretty lady comb out and asked about the cut. I looked at her and said go ahead and cut but leave me the length. Do what is best for my face shape. She cut and shaped it. Oh No! The color, I quickly got my glasses on and looked as she was drying my hair.

I just about started crying. My hair, No orange and has the most beautiful blonde colors. He didn't make my hair orange. The colors looks absoulty amazing.

She styled it after cutting. Hmm, usually I get it styled and start messing with it because I don't like the style. Nope not now. She styled to my liking. During the cut and style, Michael did come by to look at the color. I think he was a proud papa. I couldn't thank him enough. I thanked everyone there. Others sitting did comment on my hair too.

I got up, tipped, yes yes always tip when you are this happy.

They all deserved it. They treated me like a princess and my hair.

No complaints about my thick hair, no orange color and a cut to match my blonde hair.

I have found my second home. My new colorist and stylist. I should have found them years ago but I didn't look in the right direction.

I do keep tweeting Michael that I will be back.

Color salon had made it so I could attend ISSE and not be embarrassed. I adore them and so did the many people who asked about the color and cut at ISSE.

I want to thank you Michael for the wonderful time and the blonde hair. You are an artist and quite the best one. Your staff is the top in Vegas. I highly recommend anyone to go try the Color salon. You will not regret it.

He said she is a lovely lady and has a heart. She is very much involved with helping animals. She had adopted a little dog last time she was is Vegas.

If you read Michael's tweets you will see he is an animal lover. Him and his wife do have a couple of dogs too. He does tweet story's about animal abuse. If you only knew where your puppy came from that you bought at a pet store. Google puppy mills. They are horrible, disgusting people who don't take care of the animals. Please don't buy from a store, go to your local pound.
